2008 Old Home Days Theme: Home Town Holidays! This year’s parade theme will be Home Town Holidays. Choose a national holiday (Christmas, Labor Day, Memorial Day); a festive holiday (Halloween, Mardi Gras, Valentines Day); celebrate an anniversary or birthday; or round up your high school classmates and join the parade with your 'holiday' float or marching unit. No holiday is too large or too small and the 'holiday' possibilities are endless. Join the parade by adding your Hometown Holiday force to what is already the largest parade in Middlesex County! The parade steps off at 11 AM on Saturday, July 12th from East Hampton High School. 2008 Old Home Days Parade Float Contract Featured PerformerExpect to be thrilled by special guest and featured performer, the South Philadelphia String Band! They're nationally known for their flamboyant costumes, stylish parade music, and their signature "strut." Don't miss the razzle-dazzle of our parade's featured performer! Tributes to Our Home Town SonOld Home Days 2008 will also feature tributes to our hometown son, the late, great Governor William A. O’Neill and celebrate “Yankee Doodle”, which O’Neill helped name our state song in 1978. Represent your East Hampton High School Class in the 2008 Old Home Days ParadeThe Old Home Days Parade Committee would like to hear from graduates of East Hampton High School.
